Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and eating it within 30 minutes from getting out of bed is the best way to go.
The reason is that this is when your metabolism "wakes up" searching for food to burn and fuel your body for the rest of the day, and if it doesn't find that, then it will start looking for alternative sources of nutrition. It is a common misconception that when our metabolism doesn't find any food to fuel our body it will start burning our fat instead; this is simply not true. Instead, what it actually starts to burn is our muscle tissue since this is the first source of protein and other nutrients it will find if we did not eat breakfast. Obviously, this is not a desirable effect, which is why we need to eat breakfast every morning within 30 minutes from getting out of bed.
Here is an article of Haylie's explaining more:

If you do not have enough to time to prepare and eat your breakfast at that time, you can eat your morning snack at that time instead and eat your breakfast later in place of your morning snack.
